Bong Wie installed as first Vance Coffman Endowed Chair Professor

Iowa State University is delighted to announce that Professor Bong Wie has been named as the first holder of the Vance Coffman Endowed Chair in the Department of Aerospace Engineering.  This endowed chair was established by the generosity of Lockheed Martin Corporation to honor Dr. Vance Coffman.  Dr. Coffman is the retired chairman and CEO of Lockheed Martin.  

The investiture and luncheon is for invited guests only, and is scheduled from 11:45 to 1:00 PM on March 20, 2007 in the Oak Room of the Memorial Union. 

This will be followed by Lockheed Martin Technical Day in the Great Hall of the Memorial Union from 1:00 - 6:00 PM.  Everyone is invited to attend to attend this event.
