Professor Ping Lu awarded Cheung Kong Chair Professorship of Shanghai Jiao Tong University

 

In January of 2007 Ping Lu was awarded a Cheung Kong Chair Professorship of Shanghai Jiao Tong University (the fourth ranked university in China) by the Ministry of Education of China.The nominees are from all disciplines and fields of liberal arts, sciences and engineering (including all basic sciences, medicines, biology, agriculture, etc). The appointment is for three years.  Through rather competitive reviews and downselect by mostly members of Chinese Academies of Engineering and Sciences, the Ministry of Education of China awards this title to 99 selected full professors round the world this year. 

 

Ping Lu was also appointed a Guest Professor by Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics in September of 2006.
