Honors and recognition in AerE Pre-Commencement Reception

Christina Bloebaum
Interim Department Chair and Dennis & Rebecca Muilenburg Professor Christina Bloebaum leads the ceremony.

Department of Aerospace Engineering graduates gathered with family, friends, faculty and staff to celebrate their achievement in the department’s traditional pre-commencement reception the morning of May 5.

Graduating seniors are individually recognized during the ceremony. Here Nicholas Meyers is honored.

A breakfast social hour kicked off the program, followed by a formal ceremony to recognize graduates. That included honoring the department’s Outstanding Seniors: Nathan Chapdelaine, Adam Gjersvik, Amanda Kewitsch, Todd Nelson, Jesse Stufflebeem, Koki Tomoeda and Mengyu Wang.

In total, 87 undergraduates have received their diplomas this semester, with one additional student to graduate this summer. A total of 20 aerospace engineering graduate students are also receiving degrees, spring and summer semesters combined.

The department wishes all its graduates the best in their future endeavors.
