Course description

This course will cover fundamental principles used in engineering design of aircraft. The students will work in teams to refine their conceptual design in AerE461, and then build and fly a model aircraft. We will also cover engineering ethics during the design process.

Course grading

  • Midterm design review - 10%

  • Final design review - 20%

  • Final report - 55% (evaluated on overall quality and individual contribution)

  • Peer review - 15%
